I purchased the 3 audio book version. If it were a physical book, I would say I couldn’t put it down. Awesome cast of characters and great story line. Being a Cis white gay male, I appreciated the characters and the dialogue being inclusive and telling stories that align with my struggles for acceptance of who I am. More audio books please! Thank you!

I've read two of these books now and absolutely adore all the main characters 😍 I love the premise, it's wonderful. I was sucked in very quickly and am very excited to get on to the next one 😊

This was a nice short intro to some pivotal Devon Island characters. It was a fun read.

I love any book that deals with the characters from Devon's Island. Even grumpy Gurdeep and her sunshine wife.

Really, really enjoyed this. I bought this and the second of the series to read over Christmas week but accidentally thought I'd have a quick sneak read of a few pages. I devoured BOTH of them immediately! Could not put them down. Fun, with surprise murders; cosy, with interesting and unique characters and situations. Highly recommended. 6 stars out of 5!

Really, really enjoyed this, the second of the series, which could be read as a stand-alone (I have read the first one). The characters are all well-written with each of them developing in interesting ways as the story develops, all unique and intriguing. I bought both books for my Christmas week reading but devoured them in a few days two weeks too early! Highly recommended (as long as you don't mind a bit of unexpected murder). 6 stars out of 5.

Baz and her friends go about protecting the young women in their community from being attacked. It is hilarious the way they go about it. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to other readers.

This was a fun read. I blew through it and it left me wanting more!

A fun story. In some ways, it reminded me of the TV series Ghosts. I like that the author deliberately didn't specify the gender of any characters, although I only realised that when I read the acknowledgements 🙂

This is a fantastic series to dive into.

A great short story. I read it when I had almost finished Livid Skies. It was interesting to see events that I'd recently read from Georgie's perspective, but told from Katya's side.

I really like the concept of this series, and this book delivers. The characters are all interesting, but very different, and I feel like I'm starting to get to know the Aunties better, especially Baz. The idea that drag queens are targeted for violence is all too realistic, and there are some very unpleasant individuals, but the author manages to keep the tone light.As a fan of both Douglas Adams and Dharma Kelleher, the references to them made me smile :)

If you enjoyed any of the others in the series, or the Starship Teapot series, I'm sure you'll love this one too.

This was a fun read, full of interesting characters and philosophy. I really liked the attention to world building, as the author paid attention to all the little details that often get swept under the rug (like everyone in the universe speaks English and is a naked biped). But most of all, I enjoyed spending time in a universe full of kindness and empathy. And shirty, fowl mouthed robots.

I wasn't expecting this series to be so comprehensive and captivating. The research that would have to have been conducted to pull this series off so convincingly must have consumed many, many months, full-time. Then, to top it all with a cast of wonderfully diverse characters which also would have demanded a good deal of familiarity to get them so right, makes for a truly compelling read. This really is an extremely good series.
