TALL(ISH) TALES FROM THE WHITE HART

How come no one woke me up when September ended?

Livid Skies

ARCs of Livid Skies will be ready to go in early November. If you’d like one, you can sign up to receive it here – though I won’t approve your request until it’s good to go.

Having escaped Earth as a deadly pandemic took hold, autistic scientist Devon and her fellow colonists are hoping for a fresh start on Mars.

I read a lot of science fiction. A little bit of fantasy (urban or otherwise). But every now and then I fancy something a bit different. Usually what catches my eye when I’m in that mood is a mystery / thriller novel. And that was the case in September.

White Queen is book one in KG Sander’s Songbird Investigations series. Get it from her website.

Kat’s a PI on the tail of a cheating husband. Lita’s a homicide detective returning from stress leave. Both get caught up in different sides of an investigation when a serial killer’s on the loose in Saskatoon.

This is an easy-reading, edge-of-your-seat, page turner. I thought I knew where it was going — and I was I kinda right but also completely wrong.

If all the talk of “Robert Galbraith’s” latest novel has put you in the mood for a thriller — minus the transphobic dumpster fire narrative — give this one a read instead. You won’t regret it.

How about a freebie…

Kristin Stamper’s got a new science fiction novelette about an unlikely friendship between a hunter and his prey. Check out The Bonded Pair here.
